Hi there.

Hi Blogland.

WHOA... it has been way too long since I've written on here. And a ton of things has happened.

My grandfather passed away about a week and a bit ago. It was so difficult. I still don't think I've sat down and thought about it since. I miss him alot. He had dementia so I feel like I've been grieving for two years now. Still feels awful though. Good thing though - I know where he is! He's in heaven with our Heavenly Father! Can't beat that! And I know that he's been restored. Can't wait to see him again.

I got to talk to some distant relatives who I've been hoping to meet, being the family genealogist. Hahaha. I so would've liked to interview them properly...but it was neither the place nor the time.

This past Saturday we (my sisters, my mom and my cousin Chelsea) had an afternoon of scrapbooking/card making at my sister's house. It was great! I got four cards done... I will have to get pics of them to post on here...ya know to prove that I haven't been twiddling my thumbs this whole time. I have caught the bug again. All I want to do is make cards. Ahhh... If it wasn't so late I think I'd be card making right now!

So I'm going to keep this post short... I need some sleep.

Just a Kiss

Hey Blogland,

I am back. I have been crazy busy the past week with appointments, youth stuff and just life in general. I had my ankle surgery yesterday and it was successful!! YAY!! It's over and done with.  And I am so happy about that!! Praise God!  Okay so where should I start off.... well last Friday I got to hold my little neice Genevieve for the first time. She is just so precious. I totally can't wait to see her again.

Then on Saturday there was a youth event planned in a local corn maze. I usually go thru the maze but this year it was out because of my ankle but I went after to help drive kids to grab a snack. When I got there I was walking up to some picnic tables and noticed that one of the kids didn't have his shirt on. . . which is weird because it was pretty cool out. So I went over to find out what was up. This guy, we'll call him Pete, told me that he was in the maze and ripped his pants. He then decided he would take them off and fix them with a bobby pin. Well someone came along and stole his pants from him. Then Pete took off his shirt and put it on like pants... thus explaining why he wasn't wearing a shirt and where his pants had got to.  Knowing this Pete character I couldn't help but laugh. One of the other guys went and grabbed him a long sleeve shirt but he wore his T-shirt pants for the rest of the night. His pants did get returned, thankfully.

Okay... then this week I got the results from my sleep test and it turns out I have sleep apnea. But from what I've heard... who doesn't. Then yesterday I had surgery... and now we're at today. Today I am taking it easy and just thanking God for keeping me safe and reminding me how much he loves me.

One of the girls in my sr. high youth group posted this video the other day... and I just love it. I hope you enjoy it too. It's time for me to sign off now.

Oh Baby, Baby

Hey Blogland,

So the past couple days have been very busy...and exhausting. I had my pre-op appointment, a sleep clinic test and then I was at the birth of my new neice. I haven't had much sleep so this is going to be a short post...but I have to say something about the new baby!

I am the proud "Auntie Lindy" to new baby Genevieve Shea Lee Polmateer. She is a beautiful 9lb 6oz baby. And I am so honoured that her parents gave her my middle name as one of her middle names - Lee. Her other middle name, Shea, is for her mom's other best friend Jamie. How cool is that?? I was there to hear her first cry at 2:58 am. My beautiful best friend Stacie (the mom) did wonderfully and looked so happy when I got to see little Genevieve for the first time in her mama's arms. I plan to visit them tomorrow... can't wait. I just want to snuggle her. I also want to see her three older siblings and spend some time with them.

I also found out that my cousin and his wife had their little baby girl last night... Preslee Jane... such a cute name! Hope her big brother Malachi adjusts to this new addition well.

Okay, now a quick note about the sleep test... hmmm well it didn't seem like I did much sleeping. I mean how can you with all these little wires attached to you and in a place that's not anything like home. Not to mention the fact that you're on camera and there is someone watching you the whole time... creepy. Oh well. It's over and done with.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

Sunrise Blessings

I am so tired tonight. I am fighting with my eyes to stay open. They want to close sooooo badly. I was up at 5 am this morning to get ready to head to the hospital for my pre-op appointment. I am having surgery next Wednesday to get one of the screws taken out of my ankle. The surgeon said I will have more movement in my ankle once that screw is taken out. YAY!

As I am driving to the hospital and the sky is starting to get pink....I barely noticed because I was so anxious about the appointment. But then once I'm sitting in a waiting room I look out the window and the sky is gorgeous shades of orange and red growing into purple then blue with some white clouds scattered here and there. What a blessing. Wish I had gotten a picture.

Another blessing was meeting the anesthetist doctor. Such a nice man. Totally called his wife during my appointment just to ask her a question. He also laughed at my hand... which had a happy face drawn on it in permanent marker thanks to one of the girls from Chaos (sr. high youth group at our church) last night. I tried so hard to wash it off... but no success there. The nurse who took blood laughed too. You'd think with all the hand sanitizer there it would've helped....haha....nope. It calms the nerves a bit to be able to joke with the staff at the hospital. Definitely a blessing.

Being as tired as I am right now I wasn't tired at all today. I was super busy at work, which made the day FLY by! Honestly, two hours felt like two minutes. I love days like that. Where you are so into what you're doing - you don't even notice the clock.

Well, I am going to give in to my pillow and head off to dreamland.

Turning Tables

The past couple days I have been so in my head it's not funny. I am definitely the type of person to over think things. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes not so much. I like to think about things. Sort out situations. I definitely think before I speak. I may not have an opinion right away but give me sometime to think...and well then...there it is.

When I started this entry... which has been a two-day endeavour...haha.. I had this rant about insensitive people. I decided to cut it out. I want this blog to be filled with good things. Things I love. Not things I don't love. Sounds like a good plan doesn't it. This world is filled with so many negative people and negative things. Well not this blog. Allright!
I love the song "Turning Tables" by Adele. The way the piano gives me the impression that there is a storm going on as she sings. It's just so powerful. I would LOVE to write a song like that one day. "Next time I'll be braver....standin on my own two feet."

Okay so I have a couple cards to show you. I made them awhile ago. I have to work on getting cards on here faster...haha.. not months later...ooops! Ah well.

The first one I had in mind for someone who maybe is moving into a new house or something. I found the quote online and did a little magic with it in Microsoft Publisher. I like the results. The papers are all scraps. It all started with that strip of polka dot paper. I love the polka dots.


Again with this second card I designed the quote in Publisher. I made it with a friend in mind who inspires me and always encourages me. I love spending time chatting with her! So much fun! So this card is also made from scraps, similar colours of the one above. The butterflies were punched out of paint sample chips. My Dad's a painter so we always have those paint colour books around. 


 I have a couple more cards...okay I have like 5 more cards that I will have to take pictures of to post on here. Maybe I can do that tonight. Hope you enjoy looking at them. Leave a comment if you want!

I want to but....

Hello again!
This is just going to be a quick post since it is way past my bedtime and I'm so very tired. Today was a busy day with work, another leader's meeting and then rushing to my sister's for a Pampered Chef show/party. It was all fun...just alot to pack into one day. Tomorrow I am going to see "The Help" for the second time. I am very excited though...cause it's so funny!! Anyways, hope you all had a lovely day today and have a great day tomorrow. Maybe one of these days I'll have time to create something!

Who Are You?

Hello there.

Unbelieveable.  Third day in a row.  Wow.  Now another thing that is amazing - my parents have been married for 30 years today (well the 12th I'm up to late when I write on here).  I love the way they love eachother after all of these year. And how they have loved me and my sisters. What a blessing and an example they have been to me. LOVE YOU MOM & DAD!!!

I have been thinking alot about people lately.  How we treat people, what we say to people, how we say it, what we mean to eachother, and how we are effecting eachother.  To really think about how you act towards others... is sometimes really difficult.  I mean, it's not if you're thinking about the nice things you do and say, but what about the not so nice things.  Be honest.  We all have done it.  But what makes you a better person is discovering that how you treat people is a reflection of who you are - your character - and what's going on in your heart and head and dealing with that before you take it out on someone else.  Sometimes if you feel great, you want others to feel great.  Then sometimes when we feel bad...for some reason we want others to feel bad too.  Just a thought... what if we break away from that mold?  What if we train ourselves to be more aware of others... DING!  I think a light just went on... somewhere.  Great start.  Now what if we train ourselves to be more considerate of others.... DING!  There goes another one.  Next, let's take action on those considerate thoughts and put them into action.... DING! Okay that's definitely progress right there.  Nothin too too hard - but could be life changing.

Well now that I have that off my chest - hope it doesn't sound too nutty.  Like I said I've been thinking about it alot lately... maybe too much.  I just want peace on earth.  Is that too much to ask??  Haha.  Now I want to share one of my favorite songs right now...it's SO good!! It's a toe-tapper for sure!!  It's called "Hold Me" by Jamie Grace.

Friend Defined

Hello blogland,
Praise God for this beautiful day - Thanks Lord!!  After staying up pretty late blogging last night I woke up for church this morning -  and amazingly I had a great amount of energy. I wasn't dragging my feet or super tired.  That in itself is a blessing I believe.  I knew that one of the Sunday school classes might be short a teacher/helper so I went and volunteered and I was filled with joy just helping out.  Kids are so awesome.  They do actions to songs with no concern that they might look ridiculous and they sing whether they can or not...they just do!  Oh... don't you worry I did the actions too.  It was freeing.

Then I went out for lunch with my old youth leader Janet, her daughter Mel and our youth friend Ben.  What a riot!!  These three people make me laugh so much.  Then in the next moment we can have a totally serious conversation.  I cherish the moments I spend with them. 

Tonight I had a "Life Group Leader's Meeting" to go to and I am so glad that I did.  It was very encouraging and educational.  We watched a portion of a message from John Orteberg about small groups.  He talked about being friends with the people in your group and how it's important to be open and try to create friendships of servanthood.  So I understood that to mean that you care for your friend not for any reason other than to be a friend.  Not to get anything out of it.  That wouldn't be friendship.  He also outlined the difference between being a friend and being friendly.  As a life group leader I hope that I can encourage my group not to just be friendly...but to be real friends.  What a mission for life. 

By definition a friend is "a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A person who gives assitance."

Saturday with Ryan

Oh my... I am not very good at this blogging thing at all!! What is up with that?? I like to blog - I love to read them later - so what's the deal? Can I try again? I hope so. Because I think I need to do this.

Okay so I will start with what I've been doing today. Well... laundry and card making. What an odd combo... I know. It's Saturday. But I was very successful at both of these things. Except that I don't have pictures of the cards I made today to show you... maybe tomorrow. I tried something new today... some of those swirly rhinestone sticker things... they look amazing on cards but I was too afraid to use them. Then when I was shopping the other day and saw them I said, "What the hey...I'll try them." And I am so glad I did. They just add a bit of magic to cards that I think will translate through to the person who receives the card. At least that's what I'm hoping.


My sister and I decided that we would watch some movies so we watched Despicable Me and The Proposal.  I heart Ryan Reynolds.... I mean.... how could you not???  Look at those brown eyes... and that smile.  Ahhh... (sigh)  Okay... I'm getting a bit carried away.  I also love Sandra Bullock and Betty White in this movie... dancing in the forest!  Haha. 


Oh I also made a lovely spaghetti dinner... for myself... since no one else was home to enjoy it with me... haha their loss.  Cause it was GOOD!!

Moving on... I went to see the movie "The Help" not too long ago AND LOVED IT!!! So much so that I purchased the book and am currently devouring it! It's soooo funny!!! Love it!! I mean just look at the cover... so bright and colourful.  I am thinking I need to make a card inspired by this book.  Hmmmm... that's actually a GREAT IDEA! 

Well, seeing it is 1 am right now where I am it's probably time for me to go to sleep.  I want to go to church tomorrow.

Wuthering Heights

Hello fellow bloggers,
Well today was a wonderfully bright but scorchingly hot day out. This morning I went to church and then went out to lunch with some new friends, my parents and my cousin Dave. It was a great time. This couple we went with - they are absolutely amazing. Inspiring and hilarious. Story after story had me either wanting to be like them or laughing completely. If I could use one word to describe how they are... it would be `Free`.

Tonight I watched Wuthering Heights (by Emily Bronte) with my Mom. It was on TV and my Mom knew that I`ve been trying to read the book. So she thought that I would want to watch the movie because it might help having some faces to put to some names. It did for sure. Now when I think of Cathy and Heathcliffe I can picture the love, anger, pain and joy that the author is trying to convey through words. I think I love it more now that I`ve seen the movie. The emotion is just so raw and real. Yes, I know...it was just a movie.

This story has me questioning a bit... do people love so fiercely in real life as these characters do... I hope so! I really hope so.


As a follow up to that, I decided to put up a card that kinda reminds me of a dress that might`ve been worn in the movie or that time period. Here it is...


I just loved the boldness of the blue ribbon with the softer blue paper in the background. And the lace.... oh la la... I love the lace. And the paper punched with Martha Stewart`s lace punch is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to add to a card. The button is an old button that I found somewhere. Doesn`t it kind of have a Anne of Green Gables or Pride & Prejudice kind of feel... I think so.

Always - Forever - Neverending

Hello friends,

Drum roll please......... I am finally posting some cards. YAYAYAYAY! (the crowd cheers) Haha.

Okay so the first one is a card that I made for my friend Rebecca. It was for her bridal shower. Her wedding was a couple weeks ago and it was a very beautiful one at that!


I used scrap papers for the heart. The punch I used was a Martha Stewart lace one. I love the polka dot paper I used for the middle 'line'. It was a scrap as well.

Anyways, moving on to the next card. I made the following card a week or two ago and my main challenge was to layer the punch outs. They were part of a package... which package? I would love to tell you, but right now I'm not sure. I'll get back to you.


I added the Liquid Pearl dots to make the background punch out pop! And I think it worked. The flower is a fabric flower and it kind of has a shimmery look to it that the camera may not have captured very well. Always. Love that word.

I have more cards to show you, but I will save them for tomorrow. I must go to sleep now so I can create more tomorrow. Hope you all are creating or finding ways to be creative.

River Deep, Mountain High

Soooo tonight I made some cards... and I want to show you all very badly but alas a camera is not available at the moment and it's kinda late. I just wanted to post quickly and let you know that I'm still here. I'm enjoying my laptop immensely. Last night I was downloading some free digital images and sentiments to print off for scrapbooking or cards. Wow! It was alot of fun. So much fun that I dreamt I was still doing it in my sleep. Crazy, I know.

ANYWAYS this quick post is taking me way longer to write than I originally planned. I hope to be on here tomorrow...showing you a card or two.

New Glitz Design Line

Hey!

My Life Online

Walking on Sunshine!!

Hey Everyone!!

I find that keeping up with a blog was ALOT easier when I was spending most of time in my bed...because of my broken ankle being in a cast. But since I got my cast off and started down the road to walking it's been a bit harder. Oh it also helps if you have a computer... I am working on that one. Anyways, so for the past two months I have been slowly working on standing on my foot, taking steps with a walker (I thankfully got past the whole "senior's only" notion), walking with a cane and now finally able to walk around without the cane. I do keep it for doing stairs and maybe milking it every now and then...totally kidding!

PRAISE GOD!!!

It is so hard to put into words what this whole journey has been like and how changed I feel because of it. God revealed to me some amazing truths and areas of need in my life. And I know that with his help... step by step (literally...) I will get stronger. AMAZING....not only that but....AMAZING LOVE.

I just wanted to update you and let you all know that yes, I'm still alive and I will be posting some cards that I've made soon.

The Way Back Into Love

Hello my fellow bloggers!

Okay so the fact that I'm even posting today is amazing. I have had a bad day. Maybe it was the rain, or just me getting down on not being able to walk, go anywhere or do anything I want to do. I was a complete range of emotions but I still wanted to share with you ... especially since the last time I blogged was Monday. YIKES!!

I have a few pictures I want to share. My sister was a sweetheart and gave me a pedicure (on my one foot that I hop on) and then did my nails. BUT my nails were so cool!!! She bought this new nail polish that crackles when it dries. So of course we did a bright pink on the bottom coat and then the crackle finish is black... awesome combo!! Check it out.

And then on Wednesday my other sister, Megan, had the day off! We planned to scrapbook and relax! I made a couple cards but the photo of the one didn't turn out so I only have the one picture to post. I like it. 

I used a journalling block for the centre part and added my sentiment from Stampin' Up's Always set...I think. The light blue dp was a scrap and then I used a clear stamp to stamp the border. I used a crocheted flower that I made and added a jewel brad that I stole (with her permission) from my sister. And I cut the leaves out from a piece of scrap paper. 

Now in my madness today I was sorting through some stuff from my room (which needs to be decluttered majorly) and I found a book that I've been wanting to read for awhile now. So I have put down my current read and switched it up for this one. 
I started it this afternoon and I'm already at the seventh chapter. I watched the beginning of this movie when I was at the dentist in February but the appointment wasn't long enough to watch the entire movie. So I plan on reading the book and then renting the movie if I like it. Which, so far, I do. 

The reason for my blog title today, I feel needs to be explained. I am watching the movie "Music and Lyrics" with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. In the movie they write a song titled "The Way Back Into Love" or something and I love it. It's such a funny movie - but I really just love any movie with singing in it. Ha ha. No seriously it's true. Sister Act & Sister Act 2 - Sound of Music - Mary Poppins. It also explains my current obsession with Glee - tons of singing!!! 

Okay well I feel a bit better now that I've shared all this with you. I hope to create some more cards tomorrow and hoping that it's a better day tomorrow. Whether it's raining or not.

Put A Little Heart In It

Good afternoon Blogland!

Recently my mom joined the world of blogging. And just like me she was unsure what to say, how to begin and how things worked. What I've come to realize is that my blog is just a way for me to communicate. Whether to people or just to myself later. In my mom's second blog entry, Passion, she asks, "What would you do with your time if you didn't HAVE to work?". Ironically, since I have broken my ankle I don't HAVE to work. Mind you I can't go anywhere either. So I have been thinking about what I would do...what I have been doing...and even maybe what I should do. I think that I've been doing pretty well. And doing things that I love. I've been reading, working on my family history, making cards (recently), visiting with friends and family, singing (okay maybe it's the same song over and over but it's stilll singing), watching some great shows on DVD, relaxing, and of course, blogging. I found a quote that I would like to share with you...

"Above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it." Author unknown

My mom told me I should post the song that I keep singing over and over just so you get the idea. It is the song "Forget You" and it was featured on GLEE with special guest Gwenyth Paltrow singing it!! It's just my new favorite song... (BTW the full version of the song is on my playlist over there -------> )

Well the next bit of info I have for you today is that I did ANOTHER challenge today and I made TWO more cards!! So the challenge today on Splitcoaststampers was the Clean And Simple challenge where you have to make a simple card focusing on the design rather than the paper or the embellishments. And for this one we also had a bit of inspiration too. Our inspiration was this cute bib from Toys R Us.

The card I made has the bright colours of these bibs and the clean and simpleness that was required for the challenge...with a little glitter of course.
The bunny image is a House Mouse stamp that I coloured with my Tombo markers. The "enjoy" sentiment is a StudioG clear stamp. The cardstock is American Crafts and the dp is paper I got so long ago I don't know what it is. Probably from a Slab.


Even though I made my card for the day I was so inspired by the clean and simple way of making cards that I made a second one out of some scraps. Hope you like it.
This card is made from leftover papers from the other day...I thought it was My Minds Eye but I think I'm wrong. I'll have to check and get back to you. I used some stickles on the polka dotted journal block. I love it. As I close off I wanted to leave you with another quote I found...

Love You in Blue

Hey Blogland!!

What I am about to tell you may shock you...for the second day in a row I have not only made a card, but completed another challenge on Splitcoaststampers. WHOA!!!! YES!! And it was so fun! So today we were supposed to go to another stamper's gallery and CASE (copy and share everything) one of their cards. I picked Becky's "Daydreaming" card. I personally loved Becky's card. The colours, the layout, and the layering.


So I took her card as inspiration and copied the layering, the size, and I for the most part copied the layout as well. I added an embellishment and off-centred the sentiment and mid layer.

For my card "Love You in Blue" I used mostly My Minds Eye dp and then American Crafts brown cardstock. The sentiment was stamped with black StazOn on a square from a piece of My Minds Eye paper that had journalling squares on it. I coloured in the sentiment with my light blue Tombo marker. I crocheted the brown flower with embroidery floss and added the blue pearl brad to complete the card.

I wanted to get a close up of the flower so I thought I would share that with you too!! I made it today. So simple but adds so much to this card!!

Vintage Union Jack Inspiration

LindsayLee here. Reporting once again from bed.... story of my life right now. BUT big news...after all of my begging all week (not annoying begging just asking) my amazing dad went up to my room and brought downstairs some of my scrapping stuff!!!!!! OH MY!!!! So thankful for him today and his heart! He said that he wanted to because it would make today a little bit different than every other day has been for the past six weeks!! I love my Dad!!  

Today the inspiration challenge IC279 on Splitcoast Stampers is to use an image of a product at Cox & Cox to make a card. I have chosen the Vintage Fabric Union Jack Cushion
as my inspiration. So I have used this cushion - I love the colours.



So I took the same pattern but making the X the more prominent and using similar colours and patterns of paper to create my card. I used My Minds Eye Kraft paper and tag and American crafts cardstock. The sentiment is a Studio G clear stamp that I stamped with black StazOn ink. To make the lace I used a Martha Stewart lace punch - love that!! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed making the card below.... and participating in a challenge!!

From my bed...

Hey Blogland,

I decided that for me to write anything worth reading on this blog I have to actually do something. So I decided to wait a day and then fill you in on what I did... Sounds like common knowledge, I know, but for me blogging is still a bit of a mystery world. I am working on figuring it out and hope you don't mind tagging along for the ride.

So there were a couple things that happened yesterday that I wanted to share. My Nana (my dad's mom) came to visit me and see how I am doing. She brought me a Primrose plant or Primula - it's a lovely yellow flower! I have been working on my genealogy and I found a couple documents in regards to my great-nana. As I was sharing those with my Nana she started telling me stories about her family. About her grandfather and a couple of his siblings. For me this is huge! I look up people in the family tree and it's great to find them somewhere in time in a census or bmd record. But to have personal accounts of who they were or what they did. That's what makes family history rich and worth knowing about. And it will add to my scrapbook when I get around to working on it. When my Nana was leaving to go home (after spending almost the whole afternoon telling me stories) I thanked her and told her that I looked forward to another visit with more stories. I really do!

Then last night my cousins from my mom's side came over. My mom has one sister and she has four kids - Melly, Jules, Stephanie and Matt. So the girls came over and brought Matt's fiance Genevieve. We watched American Idol - it was so funny. I sat there laughing so hard. My cousins are so honest with their opinions it was just hilarious...and refreshing! After the show we just chatted. Melly is pregnant and this was the first time seeing her with 'the belly'. It was so cool! She's the oldest cousin and she's having the first great grandchild. It's such an amazing thing - the next generation. So then Matt came over for a quick visit after he was done work. It was a fun evening catching up with them.

So as I am in my bed (one of the two places I can relax comfortably with my broken ankle), watching Criminal Minds, I look forward to what today holds. Maybe I'll do something creative!

Cast # 5

So I went to the fracture clinic on Monday to get my cast off and see what my next steps were. I was nervous and anxious - wishing that I could just walk. Then there was this girl who was walking out and I had noticed that she had the same kind of scars that I do....one on either side of her ankle. Her mom and her stopped to talk to me and she said that when she got her cast off they made her walk across the room... I was so scared that the surgeon would make me do that I wanted to ask my mom to take me home. Well don't worry... he didn't make me walk at all. He put on my 5th cast and said that I can start putting a bit of weight on it. What a relief!!

Okay so people keep asking me if I'm getting bored...duhhh!! I haven't been reading but I have like 10 books waiting for me to read that my mom and my aunt have given me. I started Nora Roberts' "Night Shift, Night Shadows" yesterday. And it's already promising to be a good read. I also plan on doing some stamping today... if I can get someone to grab my supplies for me. I am going through a stamping/scrapping withdrawal. I need colorful paper, my personal trimmer, markers, ink, stamps... oh my! I am getting too excited at the prospect of creating something today!!!

Creative Progress: Check

Hello Blogworld!

Okay so today was another day with my ankle up...still healing...still slow. BUT today I was able to sit and do some crafty creating. I had started to crochet a sock before I broke my ankle so I pulled that out and continued working on it. I made a lot of headway on it today. As I was crocheting, I was listening to Fish Radio from Nashville on my sisters laptop (which she has so graciously let me borrow until I am able to get around again....basically so I don't go stark raving mad...haha). I heard so many great songs...I meant to write some of them down. There was an old classic from Newsboys and some new great ones from Casting Crowns, Brendan someone...ooops, and so many others. I pretty much sang my way through the afternoon. Anyways, I'm still kinda new to this blogging thing so I'm not sure what else I should write about. I will try to think about more for tomorrow.

Long Overdue

Hello.

So it has been years since I have posted on the blog...where has the time gone. And I wouldn't have given it a second thought if I wasn't sitting here with no where to go and nothing to do. I broke my ankle/leg on February 27 and have been laid up since then. I was in the hospital for almost a week where I had surgery and recovered. I have been home now for just about three weeks. All that was entertaining me up to this point...just isn't anymore. I have been healing and growing and a blog seems like something that I can do to keep up with that and make sure that I'm doing things that I enjoy. I can't do any scrappin or card making right now as I can't get around to get my stuff and I don't have the heart to ask my family to do that for me. So I will have to be creative in some other way. I was on a blog today where the individual shared things like what she was reading or wanting to read, movies she was going to see, pictures she enjoyed and music she liked listening to as well as her scrapped creations. This is my goal. To share. Starting......NOW.
