It's Friday!

Hey everyone! It's Friday!!! What a good day! Who knew that when you get up early rather than sleep in on your day off - you have more hours in the day to do things that you love! Like I love making cards - I haven't made one yet today, but I will. I also love meeting my sister for lunch at the restaurant she works at - which I am doing today! So excited!! I also love to sing - so with an empty house and some great music playing, you can bet I'm singing my heart out!
Anyways, the card I'm posting today I am going to call Frogalicious...lol...don't even ask where that came from because I have no clue! It's Friday, that's all I can say! So I made this card with scrap paper, my froggy stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, and my watercolor pencils to color in the image. I punched the star out of sparkle paper to capture the color of the froggy's tongues. Love it!
So who's having a good Friday? I AM!! Now I'm going to go make a card - if I finish it, I will try to post it asap.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Believe

Posted by Picasa

Hello there! So far so good. I have been trying to post more often and I am doing okay so far - not everyday, but more than once a month now. LOL

So today I have posted a picture of my card Believe. I used Basic Grey papers and sticker, some pearl stickles and some pink cardstock. My stamp is a set from Cornish Heritage Farms - one of my first purchases from them. I also added some ink to the edge of the stamped image. I made this card as part of a set of four that I donated to my church for a ladies brunch - they gave them away as a prize. I will probably make another one of this card because I liked it so much! I do believe!

Well I believe that's all I have to say about that. Today I am working - then hopefully going home to make some cards (which is code for "I will make one card" because it takes me so long to get into the groove) I don't know why - I have all these ideas but then when I sit down to make them it's like my mind goes blank. Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a very lovely day!

Oh Happy Day!

Hey Everyone! Happy Saturday! So far today I woke up early - which never happens on a Saturday - did some cleaning up, and then got right to work on making a card for today...which I will post shortly. Right now though I have chosen this lovely card to show you. It is my Oh Happy Day card. When I see that sentiment I can't help singing that song from Sister Act 2 - Oh Happy Day - LOVE IT! Anywho, back to the card. I used some coordinating patterned papers with a few different colours of cardstock - including some shimmery cardstock. The stamp I used is a $1.50 stamp from Michael's. In the corner where I used a quarter of a circle - I used me FIRST Cuttlebug folder to create the embossed effect. To complete this card I added some Prima flowers held on with a brad from Memory Makers. And knowing me I'm sure there is some form of Stickles on this card - gotta have my stickles!! Anyways, hope you enjoy your visit & come back soon!!

Friends Are Like Bras :)

Friends are like bras, they are close to your heart and very supportive.

So when I opened my blog to update it and add a new entry, the song that started playing was "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" by Brian Hyland. Then I saw the pictures I'd taken of this card. I made these as invitations for my sister Megan's Lingerie shower. They were so fun to make and everyone loved them!

I used flesh coloured cardstock then added shimmery turquoise cardstock for the bra and panties. Trimming them with turquoise and brown ribbon and adding stickles for some sparkle. On the panties I added some rhinestones for a little extra glam.

Now that I have posted, I must go relax so I can get this flu bug out of my system.

Later,

Lindsay

Very Beary!

Hey everyone! So I have to tell you. I am sick as a dog! I blame it on my sister because she was sick not too long ago and we have some of the same symptoms. I wanted to post on here so I am posting this card that I made in November. Yes I know November was a long time ago...but I have to post it sometime right?

This stamp "Beary Best Friends" is Anita's (well that's what it says on the barcode) by Sugarloaf Inc. I believe my aunt gave it to my mom a while ago for a little present. I did the image in black ink and Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Add some Prima flowers and brads, scrap paper and voila! I am not too sure what company the papers are from...the black bubbly paper and the paper behind the image I purchased in Niagara Falls, NY. And the other background papers I believe are from a Stack that I bought from Michael's.

I love the colours on this card! Black and white with a touch of colour...I think I'm in a phase of black and white right now. Love it!

Thanks for checking in!

I Hope You Dance

Happy New Year!! Whoa it's 2009 !!! I remember celebrating the millenium and how unbelieveable that was!

So I thought this card would be appropriate because in the new year I hope you dance! I love dancing....

Anywho, I made this card by brayering the background with Purely Pomegranate ink, then adding some scrap dp, and stamping my image and sentiment in Chocolate SU ink. I also added some brown stickles for a little sparkle! The ribbon I bought at Michael's a year or more ago....about time that I used it! The image is an Inkadinkado stamp by Dawn Houser.

Hope everyone had a good New Years Eve and has an even better year in 2009! I plan on making some changes in my life for the better. A little bit more creativity I think!

Thanks for taking a peek!
